Kevin Thomsen grew up in Marquette, MI
graduating from MSHS in 1998. Kevin’s love for athletics and helping others was established working at his family’s iconic sport shop, John- son’s. Kevin graduated with his Bachelors from NMU in 2004. In 2015 he decided to branch out and opened Queen City Running Co. 2 years ago.
So what is his happy pace? Running of course, you can constantly find Kevin running the trails and bike path around Marquette. He has to stay on his game to keep up with his blessings, daugh- ters Anna and Aili and his dachshund Coco Puff.

Jody Christy

Jody Christy is the President and General Man-
ager for BOSS Products, a division of The Toro Company and one of the largest employers in Dickinson County. Previously, Christy served as an integral part of the engineering team at BOSS Products for twenty-four years serving in multi- ple engineering roles. During his time at BOSS Products, Christy earned many patents that have contributed to the success of the company as an industry leader, including the development of SmartLock® Cylinders, RT3 Attachment Sys- tem, SmartTouch® Hand Control and formed Cutting Edges. Prior to his time at BOSS Prod- ucts, Christy served as a Product Engineer for Ford Motor Company. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University and completed the Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management Executive Development Program. Christy serves as a board member of the Lake Antoine Park Partners and supports The National MS Society by participating in the MS150. He has also supported the Iron Moun- tain Senior Center. Christy encourages his employees to engage in the community and stresses the importance of giving back. His com- passion for others touches all employees at BOSS Products as he works hard to know every individ- ual who contributes to the company. He person- ally hand writes over 700 cards each year for employee birthdays and anniversaries showing his attention and care for the BOSS family.
